When Your Comfort Matters
If you are the type of consumer who is looking for education as well as experience in a repairman, let me tell you about Larsen Heating and Air Conditioning. We have investigated this company’s background and the way they treat their customers. As a result, I trust Larsen Heating and Air Conditioning, and I am proud to endorse this company, and declare Larsen Heating and Air Conditioning Gephardt Approved.
Bret Larsen is the company founder and owner, and it appears that his emphasis is educating and training every technician in his employ. Bret himself began working for a local heating and air company in California, while still in high school. “From the time I was little, I always liked working with my hands,” Bret tells me, “taking things apart, and putting them back together.” This high school job led him to pursue an education in heating and air conditioning. In 2000, Bret earned his degree from UVU in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology. “I know that on-the-job experience is valuable,” he says, “but my education helped me advance faster in my field, because I learned to do things the right way.”
After graduation, Bret tells me he was recruited out of college by Bel-Red Heating Solutions in Seattle, where he worked for two years. He came to Utah when a major heating and air company recruited him from Seattle. In 2007, Bret says he was ready to start his own business. “With my education complete, and plenty of experience under my belt,” he says, “I was ready to start my own company, so I could offer people the kind of customer service they deserve.”
First Class Customer Service
It is what he calls his “First Class” customer service that Bret believes sets Larsen Heating and Air Conditioning apart. “It’s things like offering a lifetime warranty on workmanship of a new installation, in writing,” he explains. "Also a free ‘second opinion' on any repair as long as they have a quote from a HVAC company and also on any new installation with or without a quote.” It’s also 24 hour emergency service that Bret tells me his customers appreciate about Larsen Heating and Air Conditioning. “I am a customer myself, and know what qualities I look for in a good company,” he says. “That is what I provide to my own customers.”
Bret says he understands the value of education; which is why he and his technicians are factory trained and educated by companies such as Lennox, Bryant, Goodman, Trane, Armstrong, and others, to service their products. “Sure, we could learn how to do it ourselves, like so many other businesses do, but why do that when we can be educated by the manufacturer on how to service their products the right way?” he asks. “We want to be qualified to service any make or model of unit in a home.” Bret says it is this commitment to excellence and education that has earned Larsen Heating and Air Conditioning several major contracts, such as providing HVAC services for local churches, a yogurt shop franchise and several apartment complexes.
Bret also talked about all of the rebates the government is offering. “Not everyone understands all the guidelines associated with applying for government rebates,” Bret says. “Our customers can trust that we will help them through that process.”
Bret talked about the future of energy efficiency. “The government is putting strict energy efficient guidelines and regulations in place,” he says, “and our customers can count on us to be educated and informed on what those regulations are.”
So, Larsen Heating and Air Conditioning: Now you know what our investigation found out about this company, you know why I trust this company, and why I am proud to endorse Larsen Heating and Air Conditioning and declare them Gephardt Approved.
